Starting a new month with warm and drier weather

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - Today we enter the month of July with slightly above normal temperatures, the average for today's date is 106 degrees.

Winds will pick up in Imperial Valley this afternoon and evening with wind gusts up to 30 MPH, which could produce blowing dust.

For our upcoming weekend, our weather conditions will remain dry and clear with temperatures cooling off.

For our 4th of July weekend, we will see plenty of sunshine and near-normal temperatures. However, breezy conditions will continue for Imperial Valley where blowing patchy dust is possible. We will experience below-normal temperatures at the start of next week.
