Beautiful start to a new week and month

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - Beautiful start to our week and we now reached the month of May. Temperatures will be a little cooler and slightly above normal today as our afternoon highs will be in the low and mid-90s. Winds will stay light at 5 to 15 MPH with plenty of sunshine.

Winds will pick up just a tad during the evening hours in some areas with possible wind gusts of 20 to 25 MPH.

A ridge of high pressure will start to strengthen later this week bringing the Desert Southwest warmer temperatures. We can expect to see above-normal temperatures about 10-degrees above normal.
