Temperatures are on the rise

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - The heat is on! Our temperatures will climb into the 90s today putting our temperatures above normal. Make sure to lather up on the sunshine screen as we will see lots of sunshine for today and lighter winds.

A ridge of high pressure is keeping the Desert Southwest hot. We will see partly cloudy skies by tomorrow and through the weekend, but it won't make us feel any cooler our temperatures are staying hot.

Temperatures will jump into the upper 90s making tomorrow the expected hottest day of the year so far. Our temperatures will stay pretty warm through the weekend before we feel a tiny relief with slightly cooler conditions by the beginning of next week.
