News 11 Weather Authority: Lingering chill

March 7th, 2022

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - As we are now less than 2 weeks away from the official start of the Spring season, the Winter feelings continue; at least for now.

The latest series of disturbances effecting the West are giving our area the effects of wind and chillier than normal feelings.

We've had winds coming out of the North ranging from 15-25 miles per hour with gusts maximizing near 30 miles per hour.

Our temperatures also stayed several degrees below normal, with daytime highs only topping the low 70s.

Expect the temps to hover between normal and below normal for the rest of the week.
