Temperatures are on the rise warmer temperatures expected by tomorrow

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - Temperatures are warming up in the Desert Southwest. We are expecting warmer temperatures for today as our afternoon high will be in the upper 70s. Conditions are staying dry and calm with lots of sunshine.

Winds are much calmer today, but still remaining light. Wind speeds will be 10 to 15 MPH with potential gusts up to 20 MPH by mid-afternoon.

Warmer temperatures by tomorrow, we are looking to reach the low 80s for our afternoon. That's right our first 80-degree temperature for the year is expected tomorrow.

The warming trend will continue for the remainder of the week all because a ridge of high pressure that is bringing us warmer temperatures where we could even experience the mid to upper 80s by the middle of the week. Even though we are still in the winter season we will be above our normal temperatures.
