News 11 Weather Authority: Excess heat with some moisture

YUMA, Ariz., (KYMA, KECY) - We are nearing the halfway mark to our long period of excessive heat, and we're seeing a brief downturn in our daytime highs.

But, we are making up for it with some atmospheric moisture content.

This is due to the position of the ridge that is currently centered in the 4-corners area.

The high will shift it's position towards the South and bring us more excessive heat that could potentially break daytime high records for both Thursday and Friday in both Yuma and the Imperial Valley.
