Career specialist Lea Soto-Graham warns workers about burning out
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Balancing your work and home life can seem like a juggling act. Toss in a pandemic and it's only a matter of time before you drop something.
Monster.com released results from a survey that focused on people working from home. According to the report, of those surveyed 51% reported feeling overly stressed and close to burning out.
Lea Soto-Graham a career specialist with the Goodwill Career Center of Yuma says since people have had to take their work home with them, the line between where work ends and home starts have blurred.
Soto-Graham believes that many workers lose sight of balancing their work and home lives and focus solely on work. Soto-Graham fears that the pressure will build and soon the worker will break.
Now, according to Soto-Graham people not only have to balance their work and family time, but also fit in personal time. She says, make it a point to set boundaries and work with your employer to make sure your time is spent efficiently without burning oneself out.
