African lion cub found at Mexico airport

(KYMA, KECY) - Mexican authorities found an African lion cub at Oaxaca Airport while inspecting incoming packages. The cub was inside a wooden box with circular breathing holes. The box did not contain the proper documentation or the necessary microchip to identify the species.

Authorities turned the lion cub over to an agent of the Federal Public Ministry.
