Warm and humid start to the Fall season

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - Today we enter the Fall season, we will officially started the season at 6:03 P.M. this evening.

The Autumnal Equinox is the halfway point between our longest and shortest days of the year.

This means everyone across the globe gets a day and night lasting approximately 12 hours each.

Plentiful moisture persisting across the Desert Southwest keeping our dew points in the 60s until Saturday.

A ridge of high pressure will start to strengthen across the region starting tomorrow with drier conditions on the way.

Temperatures are on the rise as our afternoon highs will reach near 110 in the upcoming days, a slight cooling is expected next week.
