Hey Story: An organization to spotlight local businesses

Women Entrepreneurship is at an all-time high, but just how did they get there?

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Helen Reddy song says it all "I am strong, I am invincible, I am woman". During the pandemic, women-owned businesses skyrocketed and they have yet to slow down.

The Desert Southwest is no stranger to women leaders and although we recognize their achievements many of us don't know the secret of their success.

That's where the American Business Women's Association comes in.
ABWA unites, nurtures, and empowers women.

The Vice President of the ABWA Territorial Chapter says that although we know what they do, we don't know how they got to where they are.

That's the idea behind Her Story. Her Story assembles local business leaders to tell their story, their ambition, and their sacrifices.

On May 7. from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. women ages 18 and older will be treated to a quaint afternoon filled with soothing music, tea, and some stories.

Tickets are $30 (pre-sale) and $40 if bought after April 30. For information on tickets, you can visit the local chapter of ABWA on social media.
