Pet Talk: Meet Crystal

Sweet older lady seeks loving home for her senior years

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - This week we're shining our spotlight on one of the Humane Society of Yuma's (HSOY) older visitors.

Crystal is a seven-year-old pit bull. She's mellow, treat-motivated, and gets along well with other dogs.

Sadly, this lovable girl has been at the shelter for nearly four-months, and cannot wait to find her forever home.

Crystal isn't the only senior pet searching for a family. HSOY has many older dogs and cats available for adoption.

Senior pets offer a few advantages over their younger pack mates. They're much calmer than a puppy or kitten, which makes them great with kids. They're great for older humans, because they don't need as much exercise, yet they still provide just as much love.

November is National Adopt-a-Senior Pet Month, so HSOY is offering a special discount on pets seven and older. You can take home a senior pet for just $20, excluding licensing fees.

You can meet Crystal, and her other senior friends, by heading down to HSOY at 4050 S. Avenue 4 1/2 E, or calling (928) 782-1621.

To check out other dogs and cats hoping to find their furrever home, just visit HSOY's website.
