The WNBA hosted its first virtual draft on ESPN.

Before the festivities took off, the league honored Gianna Bryant and 2 of her teammates Alyssa Altobelli and Payton Chester, who were among the nine killed in a January helicopter crash that also claimed the life of Kobe Bryant. They were named honorary selections in Friday's WNBA draft,
