KSWT Sports: Prep basketball shows out, Central girls soccer outscores the Hawks
The preps show out on Tuesday night as teams such as Yuma High, Gila Ridge, Holtville, and Central all battled it out for the dub.
In prep basketball, the Gila Ridge Hawks stepped into Yuma High territory to take on the Criminals. Though a competitive match-up for both teams, the Hawks would come out on top with the 69-32 win against the Criminals. Three Hawks would end the night in double digits. Jamison Kay would rack up 24 points in just three quarters, while CJ Wiggins would have 14 points and Jordan Stevens ends the night with 12 points.
In girls prep basketball, the Holtville Vikings would take the win against the Lady Kofa Kings in a nail-bitter, 47-23 in overtime.
Yuma High girls basketball would suffer their first loss of the season, 54-37 against the Gila Ridge Hawks.
In prep soccer, the Central Spartans would step into Veterans Memorial Stadium and blowout the Hawks out of the field, 4-1.
