Ballet Yuma kicks-off season with “The Nutcracker”
A holiday classic to be performed in Yuma
Join Yuma Ballet dancers as they take you through the story of "The Nutcracker" through music and dance.
Catch the performance on the following dates:
Friday, December 13, at 7 p.m.
Saturday, December 14, at 1 p.m. and 5 pm
Sunday, December 15, at 1 p.m.
Ballet Yuma is currently celebrating its 26th season, so they're marking the event by inviting guest dancers.
Isabella Overstreet with the San Diego Ballet will be dancing as the Sugarplum Fairy, and her partner will be Adam Bloodgood.
Nickolas Topete from State Street Ballet will perform as the Snow King and the Russian.
"Though we take great pride in offering the classic Nutcracker version, this year we have added some colorful new choreography to brighten up the palette a bit," said Kathleen Sinclari, Artistic Director of Ballet Yuma.
"Our dancers, as always, are very well-rehearsed and ready to present their fans with the highest quality performances that they can give.”
Tickets are available online by going to Ballet Yuma’s website, www.BalletYuma.org, and selecting “Buy Tickets”.
After December 12th, tickets will be available only at the door an hour prior to each performance.
