Local man dies of heat stroke
SAN LUIS, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - A man dies due to the extreme weather this past weekend in San Luis, Arizona.
54-year-old Ezequiel Andrade was found unresponsive at the corner of Second Avenue and B Street near the Yuma Regional Medical Center Family Care on Friday, July 14.
He was taken to the Yuma hospital where he died from heat-related illness.
San Luis Police Department said this death could have been avoided.
"Again, the recommendation is that is to be hydrated with electrolytes, and drink powerade, gatorade, drink a lot of water. That's going to help you especially this time of the year," said San Luis Police Department Public Information Officer Marco Santana.
Remember to be hydrated and wear light clothing at all times when outdoors because of the extreme heat.
