Staying breezy with below average temps

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - Current lower pressure system over central California is keeping us dry, temperatures below average, and winds staying breezy.

Breezier conditions will continue for the next couple of evenings with stronger winds staying in Imperial County where the highest gusts of 25 MPH are possible.

The Imperial County APCD has issued an Air Quality Alert that is in effect through 9 p.m. Thursday for the Imperial Valley due to high levels of ozone (smog).

Temperatures will run below normal, with daytime highs in the 90s and overnight lows in the 60s to lower 70s through at least the start of next week.

Ongoing releases from Painted Rock Dam continue to travel down the Gila River through Yuma County.

Flood Warning along the Gila River between Painted Rock Dam and the Colorado River still remains in effect until at least June 13.
