The next storm system is set to bring rain to kick-off the New Year

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - It was a foggy start to our morning, but much clearer and quiet conditions for our final Friday of 2022.

Fog will once again be possible before 9 a.m. tomorrow morning for some areas, particularly for Imperial County.

Dense fog is a travel hazard and reduces visibility, so make sure to drive slowly with caution if you will be traveling this holiday weekend.

Going into our weekend our next storm system will bring impacts across our region that will include rain, breezy/windy conditions, and even snow for higher elevation areas.

Unsettled weather will continue for the holiday weekend as precipitation chances increase into New Year's Day.

Temperatures on the other hand, will stay slightly below-normal for the next several days with more clouds arriving for Saturday.

Rain is expected to start to arrive within our area as early as Saturday night and will linger into Sunday afternoon.

With the expected rain showers, about a tenth of an inch or less could be accumulated through the weekend.

Another weaker system could bring more precipitation into Tuesday.
