Second Mexico earthquake in one week kills two people
(KYMA, KECY/ CNN) - Two people died on Thursday morning following a 6.9 magnitude earthquake that struck the southwestern coast of Mexico.
"After the earthquake, in the Educacion neighborhood, police officers learned of a man who died of a heart attack," Mexico City's Secretary of Security tweeted.
Mexico City's mayor Claudia Sheinbaum said two people have died from the earthquake, "There are two people who died after the earthquake in Mexico City. From the Government of Mexico City, we support the family members and extend our solidarity."
This is the second earthquake over a 6.5 magnitude this week alone. One person died from a quake Sunday night that reached a 7.6 magnitude.
