Arizona governor bans abortions after 15 weeks
PHOENIX (KYMA, KECY/AP) - Arizona's Republican governor, Doug Ducey, signed multiple bills on Wednesday focusing on abortion and transgender rights.
This measure bans abortions after 15 weeks if the United States Supreme Court passes it.
Gov. Ducey is publically "pro-life" and has signed every anti-abortion legislature that has reached his desk since 2015.
Gov. Doug Ducey's signature puts Arizona on the list of GOP-led states aiming for a conservative social agenda.
He's previously commented on Roe v. Wade and his hopes for the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn the nearly 50-year-old legislature.
