Agents arrest two undocumented immigrants in Indio

INDIO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - El Centro Sector Border Patrol agents arrested three people, two of which were undocumented immigrants.

At about 10:25 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, agents stopped a Kia Forte at a gas station near Interstate 10 and Monroe Street.

The vehicle's driver was determined to be a United States citizen while two people in the car did not have the proper documents to be in the U.S.

Agents also found a pistol and at least $2,000 while investigating the vehicle.

The three people in the car were taken in for further processing and the 20-year-old citizen was booked for smuggling.
