Tennessee man’s death ruled a homicide, body found near Slab City

ICSO said the body was found in a canal

SLAB CITY, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - The Imperial County Sheriff's Office (ICSO) investigates an apparent homicide on Tuesday, May 11, near Slab City.

ICSO said it recovered a body from the Coachella Canal. The individual was later identified as Tommi-Deane Jackson, originally from Nashville, Tennessee.

Deputies have ruled Jackson's death as a homicide and requests the public's help for their assistance. If you have any information on this case, contact ICSO at (442) 265-2052.
