City of Yuma to host Career Fair
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The City of Yuma announced it will host a Career Fair where the community can find and learn about job opportunities.
This event will be happening on Monday, January 29 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the East Wing of the Yuma Civic Center.
The City of Yuma said the open house is for job seekers and those who are interested in learning about possible careers throughout the organization.
Participants can visit booths from each City of Yuma department to learn about the job positions.
They will also learn about the requirements for each position, possible promotional opportunities, and how to apply for jobs with the City of Yuma.
The City of Yuma said the Human Resources Department representatives will be available to answer questions and will have a list of current openings.
“A lot of times we find that people aren’t aware of the wide variety of jobs available within the City organization,” said Director of Human Resources Monica Welch. “Between the fast-paced Fire Department, the always-in-demand water treatment operators, the ever-important Police Department, the specialized skills of various positions within Public Works, or the engineers, attorneys, accountants, IT specialists, and wide variety of offerings from Parks and Recreation, we have many career paths covering a vast range of skillsets. We encourage residents to come to our Career Fair to learn more.”
