FOE 398 Women’s Auxiliary host Superhero Father’s Day Dinner
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Fraternal Order of Eagles (FOE) 398 Women's Auxiliary hosted a Superhero Father's Day Dinner.
This was honor fathers in the community as well as serving or have served in the military. The celebration started at 2:00pm, with the dinner being served at 3:30pm.
An FOE volunteer, Patricia Miranda, said that the dinner means so much more.
"This is to help give back to our community. This is something that we give to our members so that way they can bring their parents…And fathers to celebrate, and we give back to the community and support what ever they need from us," Miranda detailed.
FOE Trustee Melissa Fregozo also added, "One of our mottos is 'people helping people.'"
The food served included glazed ribs, glazed chicken, rice pilaf, corn on the cob, broccoli, and desert. There was a DJ and gifts to handout to fathers via a raffle ticket.
The dinner went on until 5:30pm, and the celebration will go until 6:00pm.
