Raider Nation Outlawz make Easter donation
Members of the fan group donated to Arizona Children's Association to make sure foster children didn't go without baskets this Easter
YUMA, Ariz. (KECY, KYMA) - A local Raiders fan group named the Outlawz donated Easter presents to foster children with the Arizona Children’s Association.
The baskets and presents will go to local kids in the foster system whose hosts don’t have the money to buy Easter gifts.
The group says that as the pandemic is winding down they want to get back involved with the community again.
Victor Torres, the group’s Vice President, says sometimes raiders fans get a bad rap.
But all they want to do is help those in need.
“Just trying to do something good for the community, and get people out of that stigma where Raiders fans are nothing but partiers, gangsters, and thugs that wanna do something stupid," Torres said. "We want to show the right side of it."
The Outlawz Event Coordinator Kandice Castellanos says they’re thankful for all the support for the easter basket drop-off.
And that they didn’t do it all by themselves.
“We want to thank the Misfits, Road Raiders, Vagos M.C., Los Camaradas M.C., Raiders de la Baja, TBH, TBNC, Wheezy’s restaurant, Arby's, and Showcase. We could not do this without you guys, thank you so much and god bless you all," Castellanos said.
Castellanos also thanked Dead Pirates Sports.
