Job experts say strike while the iron is hot

Employers in almost every industry are in desperate need of wokers, says local career expert Lea Soto-Graham

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - According to career experts if job listings were a crop the harvest would be ripe for the picking. Across the board, employers are in desperate need of workers.

And, adding the pressure of the holidays is not making things any easier. So, this would be the opportune time to seek out either a new job or a temporary job.

Lea Soto-Graham a career expert with the Goodwill Career Center of Yuma says the hospitality industry is in dire need. That includes jobs in retail, restaurants, and hotels.

Most of those jobs are no-experience-needed and pay can range depending on the company's needs. Job experts recommend working even if in-between jobs to minimize any downtime in your resume.

Soto-Graham also says that currently the agriculture industry is filled with open positions from field workers, maintenance, packing, forklift operators, and more.

For a complete listing of open positions, you can visit the Goodwill Career Center's website or call your local center.
