Positive behavior support workshop for parents

YUMA, AZ (KYMA, KECY) - A workshop for parents of special needs students is coming to Yuma High.

On Thursday, February 27, parents are welcomed to attend a Positive Behavior Support workshop, focusing on understanding the role parents play in their child's lives.

Topics discussed will be how parents can reduce unwanted behavior and increase preferred behavior by using positive behavior supports at home and in the community.

The workshop will be conducted by Raising Special Kids in partnership with Yuma Union High School District, and is open to all families at no cost.

The event takes place from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
