New interim chief of police sworn in

CALEXICO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - The new Interim Chief of Police for Calexico was sworn in Friday morning.

Interim Chief of Police Victor Legaspi has more than 33 years of experience and said he is ready to serve the residents of Calexico.

Legaspi was sworn in after Jesus Serrano retired last week.

City Manager Esperanza Colio said Legaspi is perfect for the job.
