Stolen big rig pursuit ends with standoff in Los Angeles

Six hour long chase ends in standoff

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (KYMA, KECY/CNN) - On Wednesday, November 3, a big rig truck was reported missing, where a pursuit began and lead authorities through Los Angeles.

The chase started in the San Fernando area and went into Ventura counties when the truck went over police spike strips.

Wheels on the driver's side were punctured when the 6-hour long chase ended in a standoff Thursday morning.

The truck stopped on a Santa Ana freeway, then a SWAT team was called in.

The driver is currently in custody.
