YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA/KECY) - Several Yuma Police Department and Yuma Fire Department vehicles responded to a very active scene at the Rio Sant Fe Apartments.

A resident of the complex mentioned that they heard several gunshots before police arrived at the scene. No immediate information is available or confirmed by the Yuma Police Department.

The area inside of Rio Santa Fe Apartments is still very active and it is advised that you remain at home or avoid the area entirely.
