Runaway boat crash caught on camera

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - Some scary moments in San Diego when a runaway boat slammed into a sail boat.

It happened Saturday evening on Mission Bay. Officials say the driver of a motorized inflatable boat lost control of the vessel. The driver and a passenger got tossed into the water.

The unmanned craft continued speeding around the bay until it crashed into a sail boat breaking off its mast.

Drone video shows the boat spinning in circles before emergency crews moved in to disable it.

One person got hurt during the incident. Officers didn't issue any citations. They don't believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
