Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce announce they’re engaged

(CNN, KYMA/KECY) - It's the news of a lifetime for Swifties as Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are engaged.

The celebrity couple made the announcement in concurrent social media posts Tuesday.

The post reads, "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married," and it's receiving millions of likes.

Swift's nearly two-year relationship with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end kicked-off publicly in September of 2023. That's when she showed up to her first of many Chiefs games to support Kelce.

Earlier this month, Swift made her podcast debut on "New Heights," hosted by Kelce and his brother, retired Philadelphia Eagles player Jason Kelce, where she announced her upcoming 12-track album titled "Life of a Showgirl."

There's no word yet on when, where, or how they got engaged.
