Two mobile homes considered total losses, no injuries reported
UPDATE (1:41 PM): According to the Yuma Fire Department (YFD), they responded to the fire after receiving a call after 11:00am.
YFD says the first started in the bushes, which carried into the mobile home, which were back-to-back, but in separate RV parks: Lazy S and Roadrunner RV Park.
YFD also says this was a second-alarm fire, resulting in the Rural Metro Fire Department (RMFD) to respond and aid YFD.
There was no injuries reported as the occupents were able to evacuate, but one firefighter, while putting out the fire, was taken to the hospital, but was said to be in stable condition, according to YFD.
While trying to put out the fire, YFD says they ran into additional challenges, such as trying to get to the nearest water hydrant.
The fire was finally put out at around 1:15pm, and YFD says both trailers were considered total losses.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
