75-year-old woman crossing 8th Avenue struck by car

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - A 75-year-old woman crossing 8th Avenue who was struck by a Chevy Silverado Tuesday night was sent to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The Yuma Police Department (YPD) said officers responded to the crash on Tuesday around 7:55 p.m. that happened in the area of 23rd Street and 8th Avenue.
According to YPD, a 63-year-old man was driving the Chevy Silverado and hit the 75-year-old woman crossing the street.
She was taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center and then flown to a Phoenix-area hospital and was pronounced dead at 2:51 a.m. Wednesday, said YPD.
Neither speed nor alcohol appeared to be a factor in this collision.
