FIRST ALERT FORECAST: Dry and mostly sunny week coming for the Desert Southwest
Pleasant conditions are on the way for the area following a cloudy week recently
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Rain chances the rest of the day through Tuesday night will be confined to areas east of the Lower Colorado River Valley. In addition to scattered light showers during that time, isolated thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon and tonight. Some higher terrain and foothill areas of south-central Arizona already have running washes and that will continue through at least Wednesday…especially over Gila County. Thursday through Monday, a couple of weather systems from the northwest are expected to pass through the forecast area. But, precipitation amounts, if
any, will be quite modest and primarily limited to south-central Arizona. As for temperatures, highs will remain below normal through next Monday. Lows will drop below normal by Wednesday and continue that way through early next week.
