China reporting highest COVID daily cases since 2020
(CNN, KYMA/KECY) - China is reporting its highest daily case numbers since the start of the pandemic.
According to data reported just yesterday, the country saw over 31,000 daily cases.
That surpasses the last peak back in April which saw over 29,000 infections during Shanghai's more than two-month lockdown.
It should however be noted that while this latest figure from China is higher than the official number of cases reported early in the pandemic, many cases in Wuhan where the outbreak began, went unreported.
