Fire at the Hoover Dam
(KYMA, KECY/CNN) - In Nevada - a fire broke out at the hoover dam Tuesday.
It was put out quickly before the fire department even arrived.
The agency of reclamation says a transformer caught fire around 10 a.m.
They're still investigating what caused the fire.
The people who took this video said they heard an explosion before the fire.
No one was hurt and the fire didn't impact the power grid.
The hoover dam is located where lake mead meets the Colorado river on the border of Arizona and Nevada.
The massive dam, completed in 1935, generates enough hydro-electric power to serve 1.3 million people.
