UPDATE: Multiple fires in Imperial County are now contained
ICFD speaks on fires around the Imperial Valley
IMPERIAL VALLEY, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - Imperial County Fire Department (ICFD) says the multiple fires seen in the Imperial Valley have been contained.
ICFD report of receiving multiple calls regarding fires on Saturday towards the north and East of Imperial County.
Other reports say the fires were affecting vegetation and haystacks, with flames on Brant Road being a brush fire.
ICFD Battalion Chief Christian Guzman confirmed the fires are currently contained but the cause of the flames are still unknown.
IMPERIAL VALLEY, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - The Imperial County Fire Department (ICFD) and Office of Emergency Services are handling multiple fires across the north and east of Imperial County.
ICFD says the fires range from vegetation to haystacks.
They say started within a few minutes of each other and are running short on resources.
At this moment, there is no cause of fire as the Imperial County Sheriff's Office (ICSO) is investigating with ICFD.
The fire department is asking for anyone to report any illegal activity or information that could aid the investigation to the ICSO.
