Meetings set to move toward reining in gas costs

(KYMA, KECY/ CNN) - Dozens of countries and the U.S. are meeting today to plan how to release oil from its reserves to help with gas prices.

And that's not the only big news this morning about cutting fuel costs.

The International Energy Agency has 31 member countries.

U.S. officials say those countries are considering joining the U.S. in tapping into their oil reserves.

More news about gasoline comes from the U.S. Department of Transportation.

That means, beginning with 2026 models, vehicles will get more miles per gallon than older ones that were under older standards.
