Teen arrested for Glendale outlet mall shooting being charged as an adult

GLENDALE, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - One teen is in custody for the shooting at a Glendale outlet mall that left four people injured including a child.

The 17-year-old boy involved has been charged as an adult.

According to authorities, the 17-year-old boy pulled out a handgun during a confrontation and started shooting at two other teens.

That's when the armed 15-year-old shot back, wounding the child and his mother.

The 17-year-old's name hasn't been released but Glendale police said the teen was arrested over the weekend and was being held in a juvenile jail on a $250,000 cash-only bond.

He’s facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, felony endangerment, misconduct involving weapons and criminal damage.
