SEQUOIA NATIONAL PARK, Calif. (AP) - Sequoia National Park, Giant Forest area welcomes visitors back with a full reopening after facing a major wildfire last year.

Giant Forest was closed to the public around mid-Sept. because of the KNP Complex Fire—which burned over 137 square miles, within the regions of Sequoia and Kings Canyon national parks.

It was open on a restricted schedule since Dec. 11.

The park sends an advisement to all park-goers to bring the utmost amount of water and food they can since there isn't any potable water or food in Giant Forest, at the moment.
