UPDATE: Michigan school shooting suspect’s parents plead not guilty
News comes after recent release of collective one million bond price
DETROIT, Mich. (KYMA, KECY/CNN) - The parents of an accused high school shooter are pleading not guilty to four counts of involuntary manslaughter in connection to their son's actions.
The alleged shooter Ethan Crumble, 15, has been charged as an adult with four counts of first-degree murder and one count of terrorism, among other charges.
Days after the deadly Oxford High School shooting, his parents were found and placed in custody. An Oakland County judge set bonds for James and Jennifer Crumbley at $500,000 each.
Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald brought those charges against the Crumbley's, alleging that the couple is criminally negligent.
"It has affected the entire community (james nods to agree) and these two individuals could have stopped it (james shakes his head to disagree)," McDonald expressed. "They knew he was dangerous and they gave him a weapon and they didn’t secure it and they gave him free access to it (shakes his head to disagree)."

A manhunt for the Crumbley's finally came to an end Saturday morning once authorities found the couple after they failed to turn themselves in Friday.
Their defense attorney, Shannon Smith, claims neither of the Crumbley's were ever on the run.
"Our clients were absolutely going to turn themselves in – it was just a matter of logistics," Smith shared. "And all the prosecution had to do was communicate with me about it."
However, Detroit Police Department Chief James white believes otherwise.
"This isn't indicative of turning themselves in - hiding in a warehouse," he said.
