Three suspects arrested in California for woman’s alleged murder
Airman among the suspects taken into custody
FAIRFIELD, Calif. (KYMA, KECY/CNN) - An alleged murder took place over the weekend in Fairfield, California after a woman was taken home by an airman she just met, where three suspects were then taken into custody.
19-year-old Leilani Beauchamp was seen in Fairfield then her body was moved to Monterey County.
Crime tape reveals that her disappearance was between Friday night and Saturday morning.
Police investigations lead them to arrest three people. One was taken in for murder and the other two for accessory to murder.
A neighbor, Veronica De La Torre, questions the circumstances.
"My thoughts go to this young girl, and I'm trying to figure out did I hear anything," she said. "How could I have not have heard anything?"
One of the suspects is Juan Parra-Peralta, an airman who works for a distribution center on base.
"Being an Airman, when this happened he should have been the first one to call the police," expressed De La Torre. "You know, maybe it was out of being afraid, but that still doesn't make it right."
Parra-Peralta only recently met Beauchamp at a Halloween party, where she went home with him and wasn't seen alive again.
