When it comes to career experience, something is better than nothing
Experts say if you're new to the workforce, experience could mean more than previous employment
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Whether you're looking to go to school, buy a car or take your gaming system to a new level, it all costs money. So, that means joining the workforce and for many teens, the "Employment History" portion of the application may be bear.
But, Career Specialist Lea Soto-Graham with the Goodwill Career Center of Yuma says that some of your acheivements may prove to be of great value to your new would-be employer.
Soto-Graham says that anything that showcases your ability to follow instructions, handle mulitple tasks and shows how responsible you are can go a long way.
Career experts recomment job seekers to include any clubs or volunteer work in your resume. They also recommend that job seekers dress appropriately when visiting their target workplace.
