Fire crews working to extinguish fire threatening nearby homes

Firefighters with the Yuma Fire Department are on scene of a trailer fire on Virginia Drive

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY). Just before 4 p.m. a plume of smoke could be scene along the southern portion of 4th Avenue. The smoke was coming from a trailer which sits in a trailer park on Virginia Drive and 25th Street. When crews arrived they found flames coming from the windows, they quickly began breaking the rest of the windows to gain access to the fire.

Fortunately, firefighters were able to contain the fire to that trailer and stopped the flames from spreading to nearby homes. At this time there has been no reports of any injuries.
