Yuma state parks start reopening as early as June 15

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY)-The Yuma Crossing National Heritage Area (YCNHA) once again has a set date to reopen the Colorado River State Historic Park and Yuma Territorial Prison.

YCNHA has decided to reopen the Yuma Territorial Prison on June 15 and the Colorado River State Park opens June 16.

Both parks were set to reopen June 1, but with the cases rising in Yuma County YCNHA decided to extend its closure.

They will resume regular summer hours for both parks.

The parks will continue to follow safety measures to ensure the safety of staff and employees.
