20 more cases of coronavirus in Yuma County

Number of young people infected continues to outpace older patients

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Yuma County Health District confirmed another 20 cases of coronavirus Thursday, bringing the countywide total to 508. Health officials report no additional deaths from the illness.

New statistics show, almost half of the new cases involve people between the ages of 20 and 44. That age group continues to comprise 45% of the cases in the county.

The latest report also shows progress in the area of testing, with nearly 5,700 Yuma residents screened.
