HEBER, Calif. (KYMA, KECY)-The school lunch heroes at Heber Elementary School District keep spreading joy by distributing meals to the kids in their community.

These past few weeks, the staff has distributed over 40,000 meals.

At times, the staff has delivered meals to the children who have no transportation. The staff at Heber says they continue to serve the children with enthusiasm and a smile on their face.

They continue to work hard at the school cafeteria by spending hours sorting meals just for the children to have a variety of food available.

Heber staff made the day extra special for the children on 'Dia del Niño,' (Children's Day) by showing them just a little bit more love and care. The community drove around the school with signs in their cars thanking the hardworking group of individuals that keep proving meals to the children in Heber.

Although lines at Heber School get long, one thing is for sure, the staff continues to work hard to make sure every child is not left behind during this pandemic.

Thank you Heber Heroes!
