Border Patrol agents rescue 3 men in distress near Camp Grip
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY)-Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents rescue a group of three travelers who were lost and in distress.
On Saturday the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) says Mexican emergency services notified Yuma Sector that a call for assistance had been received from a group of individuals who were lost.
Members of Yuma Sector's Search, Trauma, and Rescue (BORSTAR) unit got in communication with the caller who provided agents with enough information about their location.
Agents working at the remote Camp Grip area, located the individuals and found one of them vomiting and in need of an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
CBP says upon the EMT’s arrival, the individuals were triaged. The EMT medically cleared all three individuals upon re-evaluation.
Reports say the three individuals, all Honduran nationals, were illegally present in the United States and charged with immigration violations.
