Jeep drives off top floor of parking garage
Passengers able to escape prior to 6 story plunge
SANTA MONICA, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - A man is in critical condition after driving his Jeep off the top level of a Los Angeles-area parking garage.
Police say two passengers were able to leap to safety before the Jeep made the plunge.
Officers say when they reached the crash scene around midnight Sunday morning they found the wreckage leaning up against a fast food restaurant across the street from the garage.
Investigators say, because of the driver's medical condition, they still haven't determined whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in the incident.
