Unbearable visitor calls on Southern California neighborhood

Bear on the Loose

Second wildlife siting in area in two days

MONROVIA, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - Residents of one Los Angeles-area neighborhood weren't rushing out out of their homes to welcome a recent visitor...for fairly obvious reasons.

People in Monrovia woke up to see a black bear wandering down the streets, and eventually through their backyards.

The siting comes just one day after another black bear dropped in on the local elementary school.

Monrovia lies in the foothills of the Angeles National Forest, so wildlife sightings aren't all that uncommon. This was hit just a little close to home.

The animals were likely just foraging for food.
